Fit for More. More what? More fame, more money, more followers? Maybe. *gasp* We know what you’re thinking… “But wait, you guys are a Christian-based company! You shouldn’t be promoting that type of message.” Just hear us out. (:
At Flyte, we’re passionate about two things: faith and fitness. More specifically, we want to help connect those two sectors in people’s lives (read about how to integrate faith and fitness here). And that’s where the phrase Fit for More comes in. Yes, we sell supplements and apparel. But there’s more. Yes, we want you to hit your PRs in the gym. But there’s more. Yes, we want this year to be the year when you become the most fit you’ve ever been. But… there’s more.
What does being Fit for More mean to us? We broke it down into two categories:
- Fit for More means being fit to serve the Kingdom of God.
Whether you’re serving at your local homeless shelter or at a village in the Amazon jungle, being physically fit does nothing but help. Even if you’re going through a rough patch spiritually (remember, spiritual health is THE MOST important thing), you being in good shape can still help carry things for people, build a playground for the local kids, reach out to kids who don’t speak your language by playing sports with them, etc. Romans 10:15 says this: “And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’” Stay on your toes. God might call you to be a missionary in a country where you have no option but to walk.
Or you might be called to be an IFBB Pro or personal trainer, someone who has more fame, more money, and more followers than the average person. That’s all amazing IF you use that platform to shine His light. When people see the way you’re using the spotlight for His glory, the way you give your money to important causes, the way you genuinely engage with your followers, they’ll be like, “Whoa, something’s different about that guy. Something’s different about that girl.” You can make a difference for eternity. *
- Fit for More means being fit to serve those around you.
You might be saying to yourself, “I got to where I am because of the work I put in! I’m #selfmade!” Oh, really? You never had any family member, friend, mentor, or gym buddy keep you going when times were tough? The old African proverb rings true to this day: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
Now that you’re fit, give back to the people who have poured into your life. Train your old man, your best friend, or even your co-workers. Prep healthy meals for your spouse who has to work 10-12 hours a day. Teach young kids at the gym what a proper supplement regimen looks like. Many fail to stick with their new year’s resolutions due to a lack of accountability and support. Will you be that person?
* This asterisk is needed because no matter how physically fit you are, if you’re spiritually dead, Fit for More becomes just another tagline used to pump people up. Your health, your muscles, your physique – all of that will fade away one day. But your soul will never die. That’s what we’re after. We want to help as many people this year say with confidence, in their identity as a child of God, that they are FIT FOR MORE!
What's up, guys! My name is Ben and I help out with social media and marketing for Flyte. I'm a proud Trojan (if you went to UCLA, I still love you), and even prouder Christian with a huge passion for Kingdom business. I'm at the gym 4-5 times a week, but nuggets and fries haven't left my life (hence the 1 pack). And when no one's watching, I like to rap. *mic drop*
